Purchased by me

It’s time for some product fails! As usual, these are just products that I didn’t appreciate–that doesn’t mean someone else out there doesn’t love them or that they won’t work for you.

Shall we jump into it?

Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in Peach Parfait– Everything about this adorable, and the quality seems decent, but the fact is this blush does not show up on my complexion, as it’s just too light for me.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita II– Way too drying for me. I just can’t do it.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara– I’m just not a huge fan of this mascara. It didn’t do much for my lashes, and flaked throughout the day.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Coconut Water Primer Stick– I just can’t get this to work. I like that it’s cooling and it feels good on my skin, but as a primer it makes my foundation patchy. I think I’m simply not a primer person in general.

BlowPro Blow Out Spray– I actually really like how this hairspray performs, but I cannot stand the way it smells. Serious skunk vibes. I don’t want to smell that, and I don’t want to smell *like* that either!

Essence Lash Princess Mascara– I actually like this mascara, but it smudges like crazy on me, so it’s a no-go for a repurchase.

DLS Eyeshadow Crayon– This came in a Boxycharm box and it is crease central. It doesn’t stay on my lids at all, so this is not something I’ll continue to use.

Tom Ford Cheek Color in Sand Pink– This is a tiny sample of this product. I love the silky texture and consistency of the product; however, it fades quickly. I believe this is a $50-$60 product, so for that price I expected it to stay on longer.

MAC Vericolour Stain in Constant Craving– This is an awful lip formula. It isn’t drying; however, it is terribly clumpy and the stain left behind is uneven. Definitely won’t be purchasing more of these.

Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Cream– I actually received this as a freebie at a race I ran. I found it too heavy and drying for my skin.

Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss Highlighter in Ice Kiss– This is one of those products where I think, “why did I buy this?” It is chunky, frosty, chalky, and is difficult to blend. I don’t mind a blinding highlight, but this wasn’t finely milled enough for me.

Julep Love Your Bare Face Detoxifying Cleansing Stick– Now, I truly love this product. It smells amazing, is a wonderful cleanser, and I love that it’s in stick form so I can travel with it. Unfortunately, it really burns my eyes when I use it, and I just can’t subject myself to it anymore. I want a cleanser that I can use all over my face and remove eye makeup with, and this just isn’t that.
