Many thanks to ClassPass for sponsoring today’s post.
Already in many cities across the country (Chicago,Seattle, Boston, NYC, Los Angeles, etc.) ClassPass has taken the Bay Area by storm. I couldn’t help but be jealous of the flexibility that ClassPass gives it members. There are thousands of classes available to ClassPass members including cycling, yoga, strength training, dance, and barre. While members can take as many classes they would like for $79-$99 a month, they can visit the same studio up to 3 times per month. So, I really wanted to know if ClassPass is really worth the hype I have been hearing. Spoiler alert – It is!

Holy moly, I LOVED this studio. The perks were fantastic – everyone gets spin shoes (no rental fee!), showers filled with Bliss products, hair ties, snacks (granola bars fruit), mints, ear plugs, they have a choice of room temperature water or cold water to fill your bottle. Coming from a CrossFit box that has no luxuries, I was spoiled at Flywheel! I immediately used up my 3 times at Flywheel pretty fast into the month, but it was worth it. The classes were fun and you will definitely leave sweaty!
Next up, I took a Pure Barre class.

I used to take a lot of barre classes when I lived in Orange County and I truly missed it. I was so happy when I walked into my class and my friend Neera was there! Classes are always more fun with a friend. Well I may be able to deadlift 143# or clean 55#, but that doesn’t mean anything when you are holding on the 3 pound weights and pumping your arms in little, short movements for entire song. I thought my arms would going to fall off! Let’s not get into how bad my abs hurt the next day.
Next up was a couple of classes at Dailey Method.

I wanted to try out a barre class to compare to Pure Barre. The main difference is that the Dailey Method works you out with a neutral spine. I am happy to say that after a couple of class, I was able to touch my toes again! HAHA, I am really stiff.
To finish up the month, I also attended some yoga classes at Yoga Belly and Uforia Studios.
I really loved ClassPlass. It was a great way to supplement in some barre and yoga classes while still going to CrossFit. I might be taking a leave of absence from CrossFit after The Open. Even though I really do love CrossFit, I want most of my workouts to revolve around cardio and yoga classes. There is something to be said about a quiet workout!
