Confetti Wishes: Toucan Party Layout!
Hey Pink Paislee fans – it’s Elsie here! To create today’s page I used the gorgeous new Confetti Wishes collection. I’m so in love with this collection and feel so inspired to create with it.
So for this layout I was inspired by the tropical theme that is featured throughout this collection.
I think the tropical theme works really well with this birthday/celebratory collection as the bright and vibrant colours are so festive and fun!
The collection has several tropical bird images in it and I was inspired to recreate my own on this layout. To create my Toucan I used this cut file and I also couldn’t resist putting a pink party hat on the bird!
I used one of the specialty papers from the 6×6 paper pad to create the body of the bird. I love gold foiling and I love polkadots, so this paper is definitely one of my favourites in this collection.
Another favourite paper is paper 04. I cut this flower border cut file
, which is designed by Paige, twice from this paper. Even though the B-side of this paper is more of a solid colour, it has some awesome texture, which adds loads of interest and variation when you’re cutting more solid/large elements.
These floral border pieces help frame my page, and help create the look of some sort of tropical forest!
I also used the light green B-side of paper 08 to die cut some tropical leaves to nestle amongst the floral border. I used my manual die-cutting machine for this with some metal dies as I had lots of oddly shaped scraps of this paper leftover, which would have been difficult to use with my cameo!
To create my title I used one of the gold foiled foam thickers that says ‘party’ and typed the rest of my title on my computer. For some more whimsy I put the title onto a speech bubble to make it look as if my Toucan is saying it!
And you guys know how much I love a good pun, so in full my title reads: ‘toucan party better than one’! Which works well with my photo of my bestie and I taken the morning after a party!
I also used my die-cutting machine to cut out some streamers
from lots of patterned papers which adds some extra pops of colour in the leafy borders and looks so festive.
Thanks for stopping by today everyone! The Confetti Wishes collection is so fun to create with, so I hope you’re inspired to use it on your next project!
