DIY Lip Scrub (Lava Flow)

DIY Lava Flow Lip Scrub

Hi Dolls! I have a real treat for you today! Let me whisk you off to the tropics and we'll make a luscious lava flow lip treatment! The tropical ice-blended Lava Flow was always my favorite cocktail beverage. The blend of fruits is irresistible, it consists of pineapple, coconut, strawberry and banana. Yum!
So I decided to take my old "21 and over" favorite, and turn it into a totally delicious DIY beauty recipe for your pretty pouts!

What You'll Need:
  • 2 Small Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Small Glass Jar
  • Baker's Sugar (aka Castor Sugar or Ultra Fine Pure Cane Sugar)
  • Pineapple Coconut Oil
  • Strawberry Powder
  • Banana Flavor Oil

How To Make Lava Flow Lip Scrub
  1. In each mixing bowl, add 1/2 Tbs of Baker's sugar.
  2. In one bowl, add 1/2 Tsp of Pineapple Coconut oil, blend and set this bowl aside.
  3. In the other bowl, add 1/8 Tsp Strawberry Powder and blend. Next add your liquids, 1/4 Tsp Banana Flavor, 1/4 Tsp Pineapple Coconut oil and blend well.
  4. Scoop the "Strawberry Topping" onto your "Pina Colada" in the first bowl.
  5. Gently scoop your Lava Flow concoction into your Glass Jar.

FAQs

Can I Substitute Ingredients? YES! If you don't have the exact products that I use, no worries! All you really need to know is the basic flavors that make up this lip treat. Then you can feel free to substitute any ingredients that you need to, and you can still achieve similar results.
How Long Does It Last? I recommend making tiny batches and using homemade lip scrubs up in 1 week. Store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid getting any water in the jar, or using your hands to scoop out product, this will contaminate the scrub with bacteria. If this occurs, do not use, throw it out right away. If using any fresh ingredients, make single use batches. You can store in the fridge if you prefer, though it's not necessary with this particular recipe.
