I read this book back when it came out in July 2012 and it has definitely stuck with me as one of my favourites of the entire year for originality and amazing, memorable concepts and characters. Fantasy is what I am planning to read going into 2013 (Currently Tales of the Otori, but I am taking on Song of Ice and Fire in January and Lord of the Rings sometime after that...eeek) so this book definitely helped inspire me to try the classic high fantasy!
