The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish ♥ Swatches and Review

When The Body Shop released their Color Crush line of nail polish back in 2013, I didn’t think much of it. I don’t know why exactly, I’ve always liked TBS products, so I should have been curious about the nail polish! Well, almost two years have gone by and I finally tried it… color me impressed!

The first polish I have to show you is called “The Body Shop Green.” I love how they used their branding to their advantage with this one! The polish was slightly thin but built up nicely in three coats. Love this kind of green!

Pink Cream is a great palette cleanser for the soul. This was the shade I applied after wearing the same Gelish shade for two weeks! This is two coats, which is just enough to make my nails look healthy and fresh!

Crazy for Blue is a smooth navy cream. The first coat looked a bit patchy when it was applied, but it evened out nicely by the second coat.

Cupid Pink is a cheery shade that leans more towards melon than pink to my eye.

Saving the best for last is Got The Blues, a fabulous almost dusty shade that walks the line between cornflower and periwinkle. I absolutely love these kind of shades and can’t get enough of them!
Overall, I really like the Color Crush Nail polishes from The Body Shop. The formula is easy to use and easy to apply thanks to the brush! The brush is short, wide and easy to control. Kinda like the old Dior brushes, or an Essie brush on steroids (wider, more firm, but oh so easy to control). The bottle has a wide neck so that it’s easy to get your brush in and out without coating the sides of the bottle. The wide neck also makes it easy to make sure you don’t get too much polish on the brush. It seems to me a lot of thought and effort went into the packaging, which I appreciate! You can’t really beat the price either: $8.00 each or 3 for $18.00.
Have you tried out any Color Crush nail polishes from The Body Shop? Which ones are your favorites? I’ve got my eye on Mint Cream, Mad About Blue and Hemp Over Heals!
