#ablecs15 Week 12: Out of the Comfort Zone

Water decals, turquoise, gradients, water marbling, blue and so on are definitely right on my comfort zone, but this time the theme was to do something out of the comfort zone. Well, stamping is definitely out of my comfort zone since I still suck at it. So with complete failure in my mind I still decided to go with stamping since it fit so well for this theme for me. Also to get me a bit further away from my comfort zone, I decided to use yellow as my main color and paint all my nails with it. So this was completely and totally out of my comfort zone as I don't like to wear yellow (at least not on all my nails).

The stamping went surprisingly well and I somehow managed to get pretty much the whole image on my nails. I had planned on doing the stampin only on my middle and ring fingers and after I succesfully got those done, I got the urge to stamp all my nails. But I really didn't want to ruin the manicure, so I decided to stick with just couple accent nails and leave the rest without any decorations.

Pretty much everything about this mani surprised me. First I managed to stamp and then I realised that I actually liked the manicure very much and that yellow didn't bother me at all. I actually liked the color on me. It's of course thanks to the one and only perfect yellow, OPI I Just Can't Cope-acabana. It seems that it's an yellow that even I can wear and pull off. It has pretty nice formula for yellow, though this time I ended up using three coats as I wasn't really paying enough attention when applyin my second coat, so I needed the third one to cover some spots here and there.

All in all, this whole mani was definitely out of my comfort zone, but somehow I really ended up loving it. Also, I stamped (pretty) succesfully, yay! It's not perfect, but it sure is good enough for me. ;)

But how about you guys, what type of things are out of your comfort zone?
