NAIL ART TUTORIAL: TEQUILA SUNRISE

We are ENORMOUS fans of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes. The brush fits our nail beds perfectly, needing only one stroke for the entire nail (ideal!). Also, the unique precision brush feels layered, distributing more polish onto the nail for better coverage. There are 2 new collection popping up – Sorbet Soiree & Under the Sea. Sorbet Soiree is chalked full of vibrant reds, punchy purples, crisp oranges and our favourite, coral! We couldn’t wait to try some new nail art designs – it’s been a long time!

Step 1: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicures have a 7-in-1 formula, but out of habit & because we are so rough on our nails we still applied a base coat. Begin by painting nails with Get Juiced. Get Juiced is a peachy-pink, a lighter based coral aka. our favourite of shades. We must have at least 50 shades of coral & they all seem so different to us!

Step 2: Using the bottle brush (or a nail art brush if you feel more comfortable), paint semi-circles along the edges of your nail using Trouble Maker (cutest name). This purple has a red undertone and matches perfect with Get Juiced. Get creative with your placement – diagonal, top, bottom, etc.

Step 3: All in the details. Take a small dotting tool & line your purple semi-circles with Punch Drunk. This deep cherry shade has a purple hue creating both a contrast and cohesiveness between our other shades. Add one more row of polka dots to create a clear line between shades. Don’t forget to seal in your hard work with a top coat!

The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Sorbet Soiree collection is available now for $8.95 at your local drug store. Sally Hansen has an AMAZING nail art contest right now, check out more on their Facebook, Twitter & don’t forget to follow them on Instagram!
