Bumble and bumble Surf Spray review

Bumble and bumble Surf Spray

I bought this little spray over Christmas when I wanted tousled, voluminous hair for New Year's Eve.

I'm the queen of these sea salt sprays, I think I've tried nearly all of them but most never seem to have any significant effects on my hair, with some just leaving it slightly messier / frizzier than before. Perhaps it's because I already have relatively thick hair that has a slight wave to it already, but I usually want it to look a little more styled and tousled rather than have the "I was just dragged through a hedge backwards" look, you know? I was having a nose around Boots during the Christmas period though and decided to pick up Bumble and bumble's Surf Spray as it promises hair a beachy, windswept look.

It's slightly more expensive than what I'd usually opt for (but aren't all Bumble and bumble products!), I bought the small 50ml spray bottle from Boots which set me back £9.50. It's technically more economical to buy the larger size, but I wasn't sure if I'd like it so decided to just get the 50ml option.

I applied the spray to damp hair, worked in a blob of Bumble and bumble's Texture creme and then blow dried using a hair diffuser. The result was more textured, bigger hair that definitely felt like I'd spent the day at the beach. For those with drier hair types, I'd probably steer clear as it did leave my hair much noticeably drier and more gritty. Honestly though, this is the most effective sea salt spray I've used to achieve that beachy look.

Have you tried Bumble and bumble's Surf Spray? What do you think?
