Estée Lauder Modern Muse perfume review

Estee Lauder Modern Muse perfume review
Estée Lauder Modern Muse Eu De Parfum 30ml £44

I've been looking for a signature scent for a while now. To describe my tastes, I usually like woody, green or floriental scents; or perfumes with coconut, rose or tuberose notes and I'm not too keen on overly sweet scents.

The latest offering from Estée Lauder is Modern Muse, catergorised as 'Lush, Woody, Floral' which is about right. I'm really not great at describing perfumes but when I wear it the vanilla and honeysuckle come through and it's a nice warm, enveloping scent. It has quite a soft sillage and I only smell the occasional hint of it when I'm wearing it, which is perfect for me as perfumes I can constantly smell make me feel nauseous.

The bottle isn't my favourite, I'd prefer it if the top was different and it came with a lid. The plastic bow looks a bit cheap in my opinion, but I love the tinted glass and the black and gold colour scheme.

Like I said, I'm not brilliant at describing scents and discerning the different notes, but below are the notes according to the Estée Lauder website: -

  • Exotic Mandarin
  • Honeysuckle Nectar
  • Dewy Petals
  • Two extractions of Jasmine Sambac, one of which is new Jasmine Sambac China Absolute
  • Tuberose Fleur
  • Two Patchouli Essences
  • Amber Woods
  • Musk
  • Madagascar Vanilla
What sort of scents do you enjoy wearing? Would you wear Estée Lauder's Modern Muse?
