Jeux de Regards, the eye collection from Chanel, features two eyeshadow quads, two illusion d'ombre eyeshadows and one new eyeliner. I was originally going to get the eyeliner to add to my collection but at the last minute decided to go for the limited edition Séduction eyeshadow quad instead.

When the package arrived and I opened it, I got a little worried that I had purchased something that looks incredibly similar to a few other quads that I own. Certainly, there's not a unique shade in this set and the looks I've been able to come up with it can all be replicated with other products. In fact, it so reminded me of the Éclosion quad except for some reason, I think I like Éclosion better.

I do want to clarify though that they are not the same. The need to own it just depends on how much you like Chanel quads. I like them a fair bit, notwithstanding the sometimes powdery texture. I also find them very convenient when I'm in a rush. Grab a quad and there's no need to think hard about combinations.

So if you're just looking for a basic, all-around crowd-pleaser, Séduction might be the right choice for you. It leans warm so if you're more into cool tones, you may prefer the other quad in the collection, Fascination, which plays with blues and greys. Séduction works nicely when paired with the Waterproof Eyeliners in Grenat, Santal and Espresso, which in some literature seem to also be part of the collection although Chanel's US website only includes Bleu Exquis, a metallic blue.
