Episode 6/ Julia & Kimberley’s Pop Culture Hour: Books & Award Season Talk

We’ve really flown into a heavy workload for January (surprisingly) for both of us, but for the first episode of 2015, look Julia & I are quite rambly and not as succinct as usual but we make it work! Episode six is all about recent books that have stood out for us, which then veers into fashion and awards season talk !

Books for me tend to be hard to recall unless I talk about them immediately after; its so strange. With movies I can remember things easily, and for a while (unless they are really forgettable !) but with books.. honestly, even when I saw Harry Potter on the big screen, there were BIG moments that I was shocked at. I won’t spoil it just in case… (there is a small minority of people that haven’t seen the films yet, weirdos)

We then *had* to talk about the fashion of the recent Golden Globe awards, which then veered onto our thoughts on the Oscar nominations, who should win.. what we’d seen, you get the drill. Julia is doing a ‘Road to the Oscars’ blog post series which you should absolutely check out, she is way more disciplined than I am in terms of watching all of the nominated Best Pictures!
