Mia Charnelle Releases New Label: BLVCK QVEEN

Mia Charnelle is a multi-dimensional creative with a portfolio that shows her work as a stylist and graphic designer while previously working as one half of the duo called Triibe Movement. She has branched off to create her own label called BLVCK QVEEN which aims to empower people of color, especially women, through fashion and design, and although there are so far just two hats available on her website, it's just the beginning.

She plans to expand her label as a lifestyle brand that includes everything from accessories to home goods and eventually, apparel. We say that's solid. Her inspiration for BLVCK QVEEN is based on her personal experiences and a passion for moving on from past tribulations, and hopes her brand and message will connect with others as well.

Says Mia, "As a black, queer, masculine identifying, enunciating woman I struggled with acceptance. I tried being cool and I hated it. So, BQ is my outlet. Tangible affirmation for those who are considered weird, socially awkward, anxious, not black enough but too white, crazy and all of that jazz."
