{How To} Use a Solid Blender Cleanser

Hello Lovelies,

I recently picked up a Beauty Blender Solid Blender Cleanser and wanted to share my experience with you! In this post, I’ll share two versions of the tutorial with you. The first version is how to clean a Beauty Blender (or sponge), the second version is how to clean brushes. Please PIN whichever version applies to you!

Before I share my tutorials, let me share my thoughts about the product itself…

  • Packaging: Simple and compact packaging. They even include a lift in the case so that he cleanser doesn’t sit in water. Think of the cleanser as a bar of soap. Sitting in water will waste the product. I recommend leaving the top off while the cleanser completely dries.
  • Cost: $15.95. Not bad. This cleanser will last a long time so worth the investment.
  • What I loved: Cleansing strength was impressive. It got my brushes and sponges squeaky clean.
  • What I didn’t like: No issues with the sponges, but my brushes felt a bit dry. I don’t think I’ll be using this cleanser every time I clean my brushes. I’ll be switching between the solid cleanser and my homemade brush cleanser which cleans AND conditions brush bristles.
  • Overall thoughts: I would recommend this product. It was easy to use and like I said, it worked really well. My recommendation is to switch between a conditioning cleanser and this solid cleanser for your brushes. I highly recommend this homemade cleanser.

Below is the first tutorial. Follow this tutorial to clean your Beauty Blender (or any other makeup sponge) with the Solid Blender Cleanser!

  1. Wet the sponge thoroughly and squeeze the excess water out. Rub the wet Beauty Blender on the solid cleanser.
  2. Add some water and repeatedly squeeze the sponge to work up the lather.
  3. Rinse well by repeatedly squeezing the sponge until the water runs clear.
  4. Once you’re done cleaning the blender, rinse the solid cleanser before putting it back into the container. Just be sure to empty out the container so that the cleanser is not sitting in water.

Here is the second tutorial. Follow this tutorial to clean regular brushes with the Solid Blender Cleanser.

  1. Wet the brush thoroughly and squeeze the excess water out.
  2. Rub the wet brush on the solid cleanser and work up a good lather. You can use your hands to further work up the lather on the brush.
  3. Rinse well and squeeze the excess water out. Dry your brushes as outlined here.
  4. Once you’re done cleaning the blender, rinse the solid cleanser before putting it back into the container. Just be sure to empty out the container so that the cleanser is not sitting in water.

I hope these tutorials will help you keep your sponges and brushes clean! Please pin and share the tutorials with your followers Let me know if you have a favorite product or method of cleaning your brush!

Good luck!
