A Down-Home, Love-Filled Wedding

In this age of Pinterest and wedding blogs, it's so easy to focus on making a wedding picture-perfect and maybe even over-the-top a bit just to stay relevant. So when I discovered these wedding photos, they made me smile, because this couple kept their wedding simple. They didn't opt for the fancy clubhouse or a catered dinner (not that there's anything wrong with that!), but instead chose the grandparents' backyard and homemade BBQ and fixins', complete with duct tape labels on the BBQ sauce and hand-made signs for the porta potties (keepin' it real!). They brought their story home, where it all started, and where it all will end.

All weddings are beautiful, but some break the mold and bring pause, allowing reflection on what really matters. This one does just that, reminding us that it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. If we slow down enough to notice, real life is beautiful enough.
