Fun and Functional “Maid” Wedding Gift Idea

This post is brought to you as part of Kimberly Clark’s #celebratefamilyvalues campaign! As always, all thoughts, ideas, and opinions are 100% our own! Happy Monday everybody! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend partying it up with loved ones! I’m super excited about today’s post! I love giving people gifts, and I kind of pride myself on being able to pick the right thing for the right person! I also love a good gift that is both exciting and needed (like this one for new moms) which is why I love today’s gift idea so much! If your fridge is anything like mine, it is covered in wedding/shower invites at this time of year, so let’s dive into this fun and functional “maid” wedding gift idea!

One of my sweet neighbors gave me a similar bucket at one of my bridal showers when I got married (way back when) and I thought it was so sweet and unique! For most newlyweds, money is tight, and it isn’t very fun to have to go spend a bunch of money on household necessities, but we all need them! I use the Pick Up the Values website to find great deals on great brands we use all the time (like Kleenex, Viva paper towels, and Scott or Cottonelle toilet paper) so we always have those things stocked up in our storage closet! I start out by filling some space in the bottom of my bucket with tissues and a few rolls of toilet paper… useful fillers!

Obviously, you won’t be able to stock every cleaning supply in your gift, because it would get too expensive too quickly, so I typically pick one area to focus on (ie: bathroom, kitchen or general house cleaning). For this bucket I picked bathroom! You can get really great prices if you are doing multiple gifts at once, because there are often great deals on two or three packs of cleaners. Also, this is a great gift because you can go as affordable or as pricey as you’d like.. you just stop when you hit your budget!

Finally, you make your gift extra fun and thoughtful by adding the cute nightie and duster! Lingerie is so personal, and I don’t like to ruin the surprise by asking for sizes, so I tend to opt for a cute and classy slip like the one pictured, because sizing is flexible and it won’t be embarrassing to open in front of the in-laws :). I found this darling one at Target for $14.99!

Here is what your gift will look like all ready to go! I just rolled the slip up and stuck it in with everything else, and then taped our card to the front with some cute washi tape and tied on a bow… voila!

Pretty fun, right?! Happy gift giving, friends!
