New! COVERGIRL LashBlast Super Sizer and Intensify Me
COVERGIRL has two new launches this month you’ll want to know about. Trust. I am very lucky to have been given a sneak peek of both of these awesome products. The newest edition to the LashBlast Mascara line is Super Sizer. I’ve had really good luck with the LashBlast mascaras; some of my all time favs are LashBlast Clump Crusher and LashBlast Volume. Can the new LashBlast Super Sizer live up to my other LashBlast loves? Let’s find out!
You cannot talk about LashBlast Super Sizer without talking about the wand. That is what makes Super Sizer different from all the rest. If you don’t care for big, fat brushes, this one is for you. Super Sizer’s brush is super skinny. It’s a rubber wand with bristles that alternate between teeny tiny and longer. The tiny bristles get loaded with mascara so that the mascara ends up right at the lash line. I found that to be true but I also found the wand carried TOO much product and causes clumps. The longer bristles are spaced farther apart than most wands so that lashes are coated with mascara in groups. This is supposed to impart a more dramatic look, for me it’s more of a wispy look. I did get excellent length but no volume to speak of which is what I look for.
The formula is on the wet side which I do prefer, but it doesn’t dry as quickly as I’d like so if I’m not careful I can get black dots on my eye lids. This is both good news and bad news. The good news—my lashes are long enough to deposit black dots on my lids, the bad—I get black dots on my upper lids. I did not get any flaking or smudging.

Bottom Line: I prefer the other LashBlast mascara to this one. And I didn’t end up looking like Katy Perry—bummer.
Another new product from COVERGIRL is the Intensify Me liquid liner. Yes, folks we have a winner! I’m loving this liner! It has the formula of a liquid liner but it as easy to apply as a pencil.
The paddle shape allows for a thin or thick line. I can get a really thin line on the inner corner of my eye and then twist to the flat side for a thicker line. It doesn’t skip, drag of feel dry like some of the marker-type liners.
The shade I received is black, I believe it is the only shade available right now. It’s not glossy but not matte either–a very nice deep black. I hope they bring out more colors because I will buy them in a heartbeat.
Bottom Line: a liquid liner that’s as easy to use as a pencil!
