I skipped ahead to the 'firsts' prompt since only one other person has written a story for it so far. Plus it is a different first than I'm sure most people would be expecting.
Inspiration for this story is credited to PsychLassieFan4Ever and her story Maroon5d. A certain event that happened in the last couple chapters stuck in my mind and I couldn't resist the plot bunnies that sprung up.
Also, Shawn's experiences in the story are based off my own, though mine is of a dragon.
