Even though my workout posts are undoubtedly the lifeblood of this blog, many of the most heavily trafficked posts this year were on other topics. To follow up last week’s Top 5 Workouts list, here are the most popular non-workout posts from 2014:
This post is a good read if you’re thinking about getting your personal trainer certification. Don’t just read the post, make sure to read the comments section as well—tons of others have shared their own experience with both NASM and other programs, and they’re super helpful in making a decision for yourself.
I’m glad a Stitch Fix post made the top five because they have been so fun for me to create! Over the years, the blog has become decidedly more Iron-y than Pumps-y (aka more fitness, less fashion), and these posts are a fun opportunity for me to style and shoot outfits. Stitch Fix also holds a special place in my heart because they invited me on my very first blogger trip, which was an amazing experience both personally and professionally.
This post has had consistently high traffic numbers for a couple years, ever since being featured by Popsugar. I haven’t made it in a while because I now keep my dairy consumption to a minimum, but this makes a delicious, high-protein snack for all you cheese lovers out there!
Honestly, I think the comments section of this one is now more informative than the actual post! It’s become a discussion board with people asking questions about the oil and others (with way more knowledge of botanicals than me) leaving responses and insightful comments. I’ve learned a ton from reading through them all, and hope they continue to roll in.
This delicious recipe was featured by BuzzFeed, which really helped it fly around the Internet. Usually when a post goes somewhat viral, I can’t help but get a little insecure about it. Is the photography up to par? Did I write anything stupid in the post? Is it worthy of being seen by all those eyes? But when this recipe was featured, I was just plain excited. I LOVE this recipe, make it frequently, and am pumped it’s been shared with so many people.
Alright, that’s a wrap for 2014 round-ups. Time to focus on 2015!
