I'm always on the hunt for quirky photo frames, and in a mission to save some pennies lately I thought it might be fun to make some of my own. I have a few friends (particularly letter-writing types) who would love these postage stamp frames, so I'm planning to make a few for Christmas pressies this year.
What you need
Plain pine photo frames from a pound shop
PVA glue
A brush (for the glue)
Used stamps (you can buy around 100 on eBay for £1)
Clear varnish
A picture to frame
What you do
Slop a dollop of glue onto the photo frame and use the brush to even it out. Slap on the stamps, layering them over one another at wonky angles using plenty of glue to make sure they stick. Cover the entire frame, including the sides and back, allow to dry and add a coat of varnish. Then pop in your favourite photo or postcard and pop it on the wall. Easy peasy!
