I spent this past weekend staying with my parents while Chris was doing some work around the house (I don’t particularly want to be around with all the paint fumes with baby!) and wanted to give you a little glimpse into my weekend bag! I’ll be putting up a whole “Get Ready with Me / Vlog” video from the weekend soon, so this is a little sneak peek at my staples: splurge vs. save!
1. Bold Lashes Don’t get me wrong – I love a good makeup-free weekend bumming around the house, but I was definitely in a let’s-play-with-makeup mood this past weekend! I’ve been pinning a ton of bold, bronzed looks for summer with those big, bold lashes and I couldn’t resist looking for a way to make it wearable for day. I recently came across this
Maybelline mascara after noticing a few more expensive brands started coming out with dual-ended mascaras for top and bottom lashes. This one gives you gorgeous no-I’m-not-wearing-falsies lashes and makes it 100 times easier to apply mascara to the bottom lashes.

They’re cute, comfy and show off the 6 month baby bump perfectly! The classic nautical stripes can be dressed up or down and to me, are a summer essential.

I’ve just never found they look good on my huge feet! Wedges are the one exception – they’re comfortable, cute and go with pretty much everything. I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for a pair with cute embellishments to add to my growing collection. After months of staring longingly at these Michael Kors ones, I came across this pair from Aldo that fit the bill perfectly.

Every single time the snow begins to melt, I immediately start shopping for creamy sorbet accessories to add a subtle pop to my outfit. Mint, lilac, butter yellow, coral… they can all be incorporated into your outfit in so many different ways. Try a pastel pink clutch like the ones below with a pretty white sundress and a bold lilac necklace.
