70’s Style With A Twist From Topshop

70’s corduroy skirt with platforms and a trench coat

I’ve been really into 70’s style clothes lately which is actually a blessing as the trend is popular at the moment. I’ve wanted to try a look like this for a while and as it turns out, I really like it. All of these pieces are from Topshop (except for the Ray-Ban Sunglasses) and I purchased them at different times over the course of last month. I would have never given a brown corduroy skirt the time of day before, but my tastes in clothes are changing and I thought pairing it with this cropped top was perfect. This look alone, combined with the Slick platform heels, is extremely retro, so to bring it to a current time and make it a little more modern, I threw my trench coat over the top. I think this really helps! But I have shown the look with and without it, so you can see what you think!

On another note, I hope you are having a lovely weekend. In a few weeks time I’m going to be attending a wedding in Birmingham with Adam as one of his friends is getting married, so I’m really excited about that! I love weddings! I think I have my outfit sorted out and planned, but you never know, I tend to change my mind quite often. I’ve also got something really exciting to share with you soon! One of my latest purchases from London and those of you who follow me on social media will probably already know about it, but for those of you who don’t, I will be revealing it in a couple of days and it’s gorgeous! I literally can’t wait to show you what I saved up for! Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts on this 70’s inspired outfit! Please do comment and let me know below!
