Project Boom Box Starship

One of my current commissions is creating two knitted dioramas for my BIL's band Busekrus' fourth album, Boom Box Starship. And I'm having fun with it! As a designer, my all-time favorite words are, "We trust you." You don't hear them often, but, after designing the last three albums for the band, that's exactly what they told me. Woooo-Hoo! Many sketches and pattern writing sessions later.... BOOM!

I've been working on the dioramas and their inhabitants since June, and I'm just about ready to hang the album cover's elements.... You can't have a space scene without a wee martian!

And you also have to have some space pods... Did I mention how fun this project has been?!

I'm still working on the inside "bridge" scene. So more to come soon! I can't wait to share everything when it's all put together!
