I get asked quite often how I pick my daily outfit. Do I organise it in advance? Is my wardrobe organised to make it easier? I wish I was that person.
I usually have one item in mind that I want to wear. It’s usually something I love, something new or something I haven’t worn for a long time. I then have about 10 or 15 mins after my shower to pick the rest of my outfit and throw on some makeup and knot back my hair. I’m like a frizzy whirlwind.
I have a pretty big wardrobe, but I tend to stick to the same pieces and wear them over and over. I also try to put them together in a way I haven’t worn recently.
Like yesterday. I wanted to wear these amazing Blue Ramarim boots.
I have thought of hundreds of outfits that consist mainly of denim that would work but I wanted to wear them to work. My fall back was black and blue but I had worn that colour combo the day before. White would have been beautiful too.
The wooden heel made it easy to add Khaki. It worked beautifully. Then a chambray shirt to bring the blue back in.
I finished it off with a Khaki Anorak. I had to wear this Anorak because I felt sorry for it. I have had it for a while but always pick something else to wear instead. It’s almost invisible to my eye. I don’t know if it’s going to get another wear for a while.
Today I’m basing my outfit around a pair of black boots.
How do you decide on your outfit?
