Last night was a special night. All of our kids were home, and we cooked a fresh dinner with seasonal foods—my favorite kind of meal. Of course, having everyone together around the table (inside, because of fires and smoke in southern Oregon) was the best part of the evening. More important than good food, we enjoyed the togetherness– catching up, laughing, always a little bit of “roasting” going on.
