Have I told you how much I love blue and orange? There’s something about that color combination that makes me happy and catches my eye whenever I see it!

This past weekend I was getting ready for company, doing yard work, changing sheets, cleaning, planning a dinner party menu. Actually, the first summer party of the year is the one that sets the stage for the next few months, and many festive evenings. All that spring cleaning turns into getting the outdoor furniture, yard, and beds ready to enjoy. For us, we enjoy outdoor entertaining from March until late October. Of course there are a few rainy weeks in between, like this past week. When do we ever get rain in July? We had a giant storm come through and I’m still pulling pine needles from the pool and garden beds. (more…)
