Our Shut The Front Door DIY week just wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t incorporate some repurposing, right?? So, we’ve combed the blogosphere for the best, most unique ways to reuse old doors. (and don’t forget to link up your door projects here!)
Look for local renovation projects and scour for their old doors. You can also check your own basement or thrift stores. Try salvage yards. You can even find great old doors online! Once you find your doors (of if you have some sitting unused in your house somewhere), get started on some of these great projects. We’ve got everything from making new furniture pieces to decorating your garden or deck. Check these out!
A really great option is to turn those salvaged doors into a headboard! Here are a bunch of headboards we found repurposed from old doors. You can see more upcycled headboards here and DIY headboards here.
Home Made by Carmona shared this one with us — such a glamorous look and easy to do! Tutorial here.
Averie Lane used a pair of vintage doors — love the color!
Or try a head and foot board like Karen Russell!
Use cabinet doors like Jen from A Thousand Words
Or trim it out a bit more like ours, tutorial here:

And it looks good on a queen, too! My Ramblings shared this with us here, made from a 5-panel door.
Love the addition of hardware to this arrangement from I am Momma Hear Me Roar
You can even upcycle hollow core doors, like The Shabby Creek Cottage.
Use shutter closet doors to recreate this look from Marty’s Musings.
