Kimono & Hat - c/o Marshalls Jeans & Knit Top - Thrifted Heels - Ross

Lately the days have been warm, but I'm itching to wear fall layers. This outfit combined the best of both worlds- light layers that I could keep on all day. That's one of the many reasons I love kinomos. Not only are an easy way to add some color and movement to an outfit, but they're so feminine and provide a little more coverage for cooler days. While I have always loved this trend, I would usually stick to ones that hit mid-thigh, just because I'm pretty short. The longer kimonos were so intimidating, especially the thought of pairing them with jeans. I thought it would totally shrink me! I found this one for only $7 and decided that I would step outside of my comfort zone a bit and try it out. Since it was under $10, it wouldn't be that much of a disappointment if I totally hated the look. After wearing it all day I've decided I'm a new fan of long kimonos! It's fun to step outside of your comfort zone every once in a while.
