word up #90: RELEASE

the new word is up over at One Litle Word! and this time it is RELEASE. what a gorgeous word. so many feelings came to mind when i think of release.

as i have publicly told before, my childhood was no party. and i talk about it because i hope to show other woman or girls struggling with a memories of a difficult, hard, horrible, abusive childhood, that you can talk about it. that it is okay to talk about it. that you can seek help. from friends, from professionals. you don't have to deal with it on your own. it took me years, but i'm here now. last year i was finally able to really process some feelings i've had with me for let's say all my life.

so this word "release" means a lot to me. the journaling is in Dutch. here's the translation:

"let it go now. you don't need it anymore. you are no longer in danger, but in a loving environment. replace it with another emotion, in stead of distrust and and being on guard, you can choose trust and a feeling of freedom. you can let it go now."

although i already feel self confidence in those feelings, i truly believe by writing it down, it makes me realise even more what i have accomplished. i'm here now.

so are you gonna play along this month?

life is good. release the fear. let it go now.
