Truth is, performance sneakers are no longer reserved just for working out. For many of us, sneakers have replaced oxfords and are the shoe of choice to pair with everything from jeans to suits. They have increasingly become the footwear of choice amongst the fashionable set and brands like Zegna have taken notice. The latest rounds of fashion weeks saw troops of men, on and off the runway, in impeccable suits paired with sneakers. Style embodiments aside, the trend of pairing sneakers with just about any outfit is essentially about function.
