Ana and Juanan say “yes” to forever after 10 years
Today we share Ana and Juanan’s wedding with all of you, they are a youg couple in love who said their “I do’s” in style surrounded by family and frinds.
Every look was gorgeous but the bride was especially stunning, she got it spot on!
How did you meet?
We met years ago in a bar. Juanan and I have a mutual friend and he told her that he wanted to meet me and we’ve been together ever since! That was 10 years ago when we were 17 and 19 years old!
Where did he propose?
My birthday is in April and Juanan surprised me with a trip to Paris! I always told him I wanted to visit Paris and was beyond surprised with what I thought was my birthday present. The proposal was not the traditional Eiffel Tower proposal. He searched for beautiful gardens and took me to one before dinner. Afterwards we sat on the beach beside a beautiful bonfire.
Description of wedding dress and designer
My dress was from Rosa Clarà. I saw it on the internet and immediately knew it was my style. And I was right; I fell in love when I tried it on! It was a princess style gown with French sleeves; made out of a very light silk brocade (I wore the dress until three in the morning).
Bouquet/ Florist
Florist, Marta, from “La Trastienda” (who also happens to be my friend) did a great job creating the look and mood for my special day. I shared a few ideas and trusted in her; she made this part of wedding planning a breeze. She wowed me with an overflow of peonies, syinga and limonium rose in pink, mallow and white.
Who did your makeup? Who make your hairstyle?
Mª Carmen from Bobbi Brown did my makeup. I wanted something simple and natural because I don’t wear makeup everyday. I loved how it turned out! A friend of mine recommended Iván from Sinagoa hairdresser. I told him I wanted a casual bun and he captured my idea perfectly. I recommended him 100%.
The church.
It was the Santa Maria Basilica, the oldest active church in Alicante. It is in the antique district, and was built between the 14th and 16th centuries. It is absolutely exquisite.
Floral decaration
The floral decoration during the ceremony was very simple; green and white paniculatas and ivy tie in pews at church.
The reception was a burst of colors, we put pink silver roses, green and yellow.
Wooden boxes filled with colourful antirrhinum, limonium rose, limonium yellow, siempreviva and chrysanthemum were placed on the tables.
The escort table was adorned with lattice and little blackboards, with flowers boxes and dragonflies.
Where was the banquet held?
We decided to hold the reception at the manor house at Finca Torre Bosch. The majestic gardens added a special touch to the ambiance. We rented a marquee just in case it rained so we wouldn’t run into any tome restraints and could carry on into the evening.
Waltz
We had no idea how to Waltz so Juanan’s aunt lended er expertise and showed us how to do it. She found a waltz (The second Waltz, from Shostakovich) and we decided to use it for our first dance.
Details: pashminas, fan, candy bar, cigar bar….
The most gratitude detail from our guests was the afternoon snack. We put cupcakes, (from “Las Manolitas”) croissants, donuts, minipepas… (“La Bambería”) and a lot more on our sweets table.
We provided our guests with sandals and it was wise choice. They were able to enjoy the reception with us and dance until sunrise.
Who gave the bouquet?
I gave my bouquet to my sister. She did not expect it and it turned out to be a very emotional moment for the both of us. We gave two more bouquets to our mothers.
Is there a special or funny moment you remember?
We wanted our guests to have fun so we decided to give them funny complements like hats, mousse sexy ears, fluorescent light accented glasses, bow ties… It was Juanan´s idea that I reluctantly agreed to. However, when I saw people laughing and taking photos I knew it was a great idea! Even my grandmother came with a lit tiara in her hair!!

Video and photos was made from Kiwo, and we were so happy with the result. They are lovely; perfectionist and they took care of every detail. They showed us a sneak peek of a trailer they are preparing and it is amazing.
