Rosa Loves… A fancy kind of Saturday.

Saturday was a good day. After a couple of very quiet weekends, my friend Cathy and I decided to change things up a little. She had the day off from work and since I didn’t have brunch plans for that day, we decided to have what I called ‘a fancy Saturday.’ I got up early, attempted to do my hair, but it didn’t cooperate, so I went with a fancy and sparkly outfit. My friend and I met for a quick photo shoot and then we headed to Circa in Dupont Circle. Over French toast and huevos rancheros (and mimosas, of course), we had a great conversation and such a relaxing time. After our fancy brunch, a visit to Blue Mercury was a must; the fabulous beauty store is only a few doors away from the restaurant. We grabbed a cup of coffee as well and Cathy agreed to come with me to my first IGDC #printstameet and photo swap with fellow Instagrammers at JRINK. I ended up with a fancy photo of The Library of Congress taken by Joe B (you must check out his awesome Instagram feed, it’s a DC lovers’ dream).

I have to say that it was great to spend time with a good friend, shoot photos with my camera, which I had neglected for a few weeks, and meet great photographers in DC. It was indeed a fancy kind of day for me.
