beach day!

We weren't about to go to the Happiest Place on Earth on a weekend. so we split it all up with a day at Newport Beach and a wedding in Escondido.
On our way down to the beach I was thrilled to have Russ finally try Umami. I had it first on a business trip and after several more top rated burgs, Umami's still held my number one spot. Russ is known for getting a burger just about any restaurant we go to, so I was dying for him to try.
He loved it! And by the looks of Hayes' face, he realllly loved it. Cal spent a good portion of lunch in the car with me in time out. Can't win 'em all.

We hit the beach and wished we could have had more days there. We're just beach people, you know? With June Gloom the water was a little too cold, but it didn't stop the boys.
