M1lk

My favourite way to nurse my frequent Sunday hangovers in London is without a doubt a stroll around Tooting Common followed by a hefty brunch at Milk (M1lk) in Balham, i.e the ultimate destination, serving up the ultimate all day brunch in South London. Milk is a cutesy, kitsch breakfast bar with a retro 50s come contemporary feel serving up the best hangover food known to man as well as scrumptious smoothies served in milk bottles and a selection of stupidly delicious cakes (the pistachio cake is my top pic). The breakfast is far more than your average full English, even their eggs benedict or 'Young Betty' is served up with a 'burnt butter' hollandaise which tastes as incredible as it sounds. A cult hangover favourite is 'The Convict': english muffin, drycure bacon, sausage, egg, poacher hash and 'hangover' sauce) but on this occasion I went for the Sweet Maria: sweet corn fritters with halloumi, smashed avo, kasundi and drycure smoked bacon, i.e the dream. Don't let the queues way out the door put you off, they move quickly and will be 100x worth the wait.

On this particular visit I found myself sporting my new favourite banana republic Breton stripe top and wripped Topshop jamie jeans, a combo that's currently a huge fave.
