San Antonio R.O.C.K.S. is an all volunteer run, non-profit organization that was created to bring awareness and change to the plight of our city’s homeless pet population, and is dedicated to help make San Antonio become, and stay, a No-Kill-City. More than a rescue, S.A. R.O.C.K.S. is focused on bringing awareness to kill shelters by implementing community programs that educate public the about our homeless stray populations. Founded in late 2012, a collective group of individuals came together after spending countless days and sleepless nights pleading for the city’s homeless pets, only to find that most of the efforts were in vain. Many animals remain homeless in our city and continue to be euthanized daily because there is no place for them to go. Our organization not only focuses on our current pet crisis through our foster and adoption programs, but also focuses on the education of our younger generation, so that they will be able to continue our efforts into making our city a No-Kill City.
