A morning of fun and play at Kids HQ!

While most of the soft play areas in Dubai are found in malls, Kids HQ on Umm Suqeim Road is a little different. It's a standalone play and activity centre for kids, with a craft and toy store downstairs.

When we visited them recently, the first thing I loved was how spacious it is! Another thing I liked is that the interiors are made to look like a small town, with house facades all around, and a little road running around the play area.

There is a soft play area for children under five in a corner, but I doubt any three-year old could be made to stay in there! Little Dude looked around for a while, but definitely wanted to go to the 'big' play area.

The other soft play area is huge - it's multi-level, and much larger than the ones you usually find in malls. The jungle theme looked cute, and Little Dude had no problem navigating the space. Luckily, we were there on a Friday afternoon so we had the place practically to ourselves!

Little Dude also liked the small play house which had lots of toys for pretend play. Of course, I had to join him inside while he cooked for me!

Meanwhile, Dad had his coffee at the barista which is inside - a good place for parents to relax while the kids play.

Little Dude also wanted to drive on the mini road so he tried out one of their swing scooters.

A good thing about Kids HQ is that they have lots of activities and workshops happening through the month. They have a regular activity class called Born To Move for four to five year olds, and a fun Cool Science workshop for kids too. They also provide First Aid and Pediatric Emergency Response classes. You can find out their current events on their Activity Calendar.
They are also hosting a Free Parenting Workshop on March 17 with Andalene Salvesen, or 'Super Granny'. Click here to RSVP.
Or, if you just want to use the free play area, it costs AED 45 for an hour, and AED 10 for every additional hour. You can even take a monthly membership to use their play space regularly.
Kids HQ also hosts Birthday Parties with a theme of your choice, and you can see more details on that here.

Call Kids HQ on 04-3794233 for details on their activities and classes, or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
It is recommended to call them before visiting as sometimes, the place is booked for birthday parties and closed for visitors.

We were invited to visit Kids HQ for the purpose of review, but all views and opinions are my own.
