Beauty | HAIR : Volume & Messy hairstyle

When I went to my hairdresser back in December, the first thing I told her was: “I need to know how to get my hair with volume and so messy!”. In most of these times a specific hair product is needed, specially if you have thin hair like me. Contrary to what most of us think, this kind of products don’t mess up our hair but you need to use the right amount, no more no less ;) I have to admit that I never believed in them and I always refuse to use them but when they work… they work really well!

These are the products I use on the tutorial:

- Mythic oil hair by L’oréal Professionnel

- OSiS hairbody: volume and treatment spray

- Ion hair dryer by Rowenta

Cuando fui en diciembre a cortarme el pelo y optar por el largo “lob”, lo primero que le dije a mi peluquera fue: “Necesito que me enseñes cómo secarme el pelo para conseguir volumen pero que se vea natural”. En la mayoría de las ocasiones, para conseguir un volumen de verdad y que no se venga abajo pasadas unas horas, es necesario recurrir a algún producto y más si tenéis el pelo fino como es mi caso. Contrario a lo que la mayoría pensamos, estos productos cuando son los indicados, no ensucian el pelo y por supuesto, hay que usarlos en la justa medida, ni mucho ni poco ;) Reconozco que siempre he sido escéptica en cuanto a estos productos y siempre he rehusado de ellos pero cuando también hay que admitir que cuando funcionan… Funcionan!

Los productos que he usado en este tutorial son:

- Mythic oil de L’oréal Professionnel

- OSiS Hairbody: Spray de volumen y tratamiento

- Secador iónico de Rowenta

As you can see, the trick is to apply the spray and then dry our hair very well, in order to eliminate all the humidity. You can style the ends as well to let them look a little bit more messy or even do some curls. Because I love straight hair with natural texture, I leave the hair as you see in the pictures and add a little bit of the spray in the hair when it’s done. TIP: If you don’t want that much of texture, then don’t squeeze your hair and just dry it naturally. If on the contrary, you want even more texture, apply a specific product, mousse or hairspray with adds texture before you dry all your hair ;) I know that the tutorial is simple but in my case, it’s the only way to get some volume and the difference is pretty amazing!

Como véis, el truco está en aplicar el spray y secar hasta que no quede ni rastro de humedad! Además, si queréis podéis moldear un poco las puntas para que queden desordenadas o incluso hacer algunas pequeñas ondas. A mi como me gusta liso pero con textura natural, lo dejo tal cual y aplico un poquito del spray en la melena. TRUCO: Si no queréis conseguir tanta textura, entonces no “estrujéis” el pelo y simplemente secarlo con mucho movimiento. Si por el contrario, buscáis más textura aún, aplicar algún producto con este fin antes de empezar a secar el pelo ;) Sé que el tutorial no tiene mucha “ciencia” pero en mi caso, hacerlo o no supone una gran diferencia!

What’s more, if you did that the same day you wash your hair and the next day you want more volume, then you can repeat the process again! But I’m sure you won’t need it ;) In that case, I would go for some dry shampoo and comb the roots in the same way I show you in the last tutorial

Además, si al día siguiente de haberos lavado el pelo y haber hecho este proceso queréis aún más volumen, podéis volver a repetir el mismo proceso aunque dudo que lo vayáis a necesitar ;) Es más, yo recomendaría en ese caso aplicar un poquito de champú seco y cardar, tal y como os mostré en este último tutorial.
