57 dresses.

Moving is such a pain in the ass.
I'll be moving the week after Easter, and I've been diligently decluttering. Amazing how much stuff you hoard over time. I have trawled through eight years worth of crap.
Why do I own a Super Mario costume?! What is this awful houndstooth and leopard print WIP? THROW!
For someone who lives alone, I sure have a lot of stuff... so far I've donated two sets of crockery, a sack full of handbags and 5kgs of party dresses to the op-shop.
I have boxed up my sewing room *single tear falls from eye*; my books, DVDs, photo albums; my entire kitchen (except for 2 wine glasses, 2 champagne glasses, 2 bowls, 2 protein shakers and a couple of forks - priorities); and 85% of my wardrobe.
All my un-worn handmade dresses have gone into a Daiso space bag. Sadly, out of the approx 60 handmade garments that I have made in my time, I only wear a handful of them regularly so I packed most of them away, leaving only floral Anna and floral Vogue 8469 cos they're my favourites. My fabric stash filled a jumbo 104L box, hehe, so proud.

Before

About to be sucked up!

Sealed. Now what?
Review of Daiso "compression bag" - it's great.. but I recommend getting the smaller size so you can fit them into a box after you seal them. I got the largest size there (1 meter x 1.1 meter) and now I have three giant-af bags that weigh about 5kgs each under my bed. No idea how I'm going to get them from one house the other! Having said that, the large one makes a great garbage bag.

I'll keep you posted on my moving adventures...
