I have become a CYCLE CHASER

I am telling you....cycling for these people is the EASY task....the CYCLE CHASER, which is one of my new titles is absolutely EXHAUSTING...lol

Note his license plate...this is HYBRID car....

From the time David shared his goal to ride in this Ride To Conquer Cancer, my cheering began...
Cheering is very tiring after awhile especially when you are never quite sure that day will come and when it does YOU worry that HE may be disappointed and have a set back if HE does not make it...

WELLLLLLLLL, he made it, and with an extra 24 KM on his goal....224 KM in 2 days...approx 6
5 hours ooopppps he just asked me to change that lol * each day of cycling through major cities and towns....Sunday ( yesterday) the last couple of hours was met with RAIN and lot's of it...but as David would say, "once you are WET you are WET".

This was when he was finished the race and packing up his bike to go HOME!
I don't think I have ever been so PROUD...not because he MADE it, I was already excited that he even attempted this amazing feat....I was PROUD to be part of it all...PROUD to feel the emotion of the thousands of cyclists who would be cheering me on as I cheered them on...It was so odd actually... I had my sign out, and many would ride by and say "FOR ME" .....lol One rider shouted out " I feel the LOVE"....

This is where they were getting ready to start on Sunday..thousands upon thousands of cyclists

I was PROUD to be his wife, the one who was embraced by all of his LOVE when he rode through the finish line... I was the one he was looking for, like the rest of the world did not exist, just DAVID and I.... OUR ride home, as I was the official CHAUFFEUR, was met with constant chatter...He kept repeating over and over " I could have kept riding" I am thinking ....Noooooooooooooooooo.... smiling of course because I knew what this meant to him...

Greg calls on our car phone he is right behind us, he is heading HOME...I am thinking he is going to ride home ( 4 hours away) in the RAIN....No, he meant HOME with us.... It was really nice to have him here watching over his baby brother....It was wonderful to see and feel the bond 2 brothers have -has they reminisced last evening, their spectacular shared journey... I had prepared some rub for some sirloin steaks so after they both rested awhile, we had a BBQ with garlic mashed potatoes and local asparagus and wine...lot's of wine... It was an evening of celebration...

rows upon rows of POTTIES....

WEllll, this morning I am out on my deck, just me and my coffee and the birds and YOU, to share this journey with...The boys are still sleeping, David has the day off today, Greg will be heading to his OWN HOME and I have a list of things to do that require my immediate attention...

This was the sign I had mounted on a ruler and had it in my window where by I would stay
for hours to see him cycle by....

I did not get more than an hour of any stitching done in 4 days...however our home is so filled with LOVE there is no doubt the emotions I am feeling will be a source of inspiration for a long time coming.... So thank you for partaking in this journey..OUR JOURNEY, that is sweeter as I get to share it with so many of you who were our Silent Cheerleaders all over the world....

Thank you from our hearts to yours....

I am CYCLE CHASER... I am the Proud wife of this MAN, the man who rocks my world.....

This is was his expression of seeing me with my pompoms and sign.....xx

Thanks for being on our JOURNEY.. it was a blast....
