June Paper Ladies, with blooms of INSPIRATION....

May is preparing to say goodbye till next year... and that saddens me as I have enjoyed this month so much HOWEVER with every passing there is more JOY just around the corner...
Of course there is.....it is all planned that way.. Take this JUNE Paper Lady .....what I had planned for her, took a spin when I came across a hankie that belonged to my beloved GrandMere... with all the inspiration from our garden, I knew I just had to incorporate her into this pattern..

I cut the hankie in half and gathered it with INVISAFIL thread so you could not see any stitches..Absolutely incredible thread , it is so fine and yet so strong and it gathers like a dream....
Well anyway with all the inspiration around me, I thought I would do her in those colours and of course the hankie was the perfect asset. I stitched JUNE Paper Lady in olives cross stitches and satin stitches she just started to come to life...

I have big plans for all of our Paper Ladies but you will have to wait till the end of the year to see where they will end up....

In the meantime, within days our gardens are just full of new blossoms and growth...

Take Charlie here...He did not look too good when we planted him last weekend and already is bestowing us beautiful blossoms...I think he likes his new home and we certainly like him...

We had some well needed rain last evening so this morning the Viburnums were in heaven.... they are just starting to lose their petals...soon it will be a blanket of snow... But we are okay with that ....because hidden between each bush are some peonies... white ones of course!

This is one of 3 bushes of Bridal Wreath...they are in full bloom now...what a few days of sunshine and rain does to a garden...

This snow covering was a gift from a very sweet lady and just this morning it opened up to these daisy like flowers...aren't they delicate?

Had to laugh at this cardinal he was shaking his head..... because right below was this blue jay who was fluttering about trying to get some nuts... he was having a real issue trying to release the nut... Surprising I got both shots very quickly ....
And yes here are a couple bushes of peonies...it will be over a week before they open, but we have quite a few in our gardens... and they are all white too...

So while I am waiting....I thought I would write up some post cards to mail off to Russia.....and yes a polka dot pen...I know where is the gingham..? I have not been able to find one yet....

So thanks for touring with me again today... I have a few errands to run and a board meeting to prepare for so cheerio...
