This took a little more than 23 MINUTES.... 6 GARDENS..

Want a Tour of our Fairies in the Tea Garden?
We have always had a white garden, and with a white garden we seem to attract quite a few fireflies... So hence the name, Fairies in the Tea Garden... It is a magical place of activity from the burst of sunlight in the am till dusk in the evening. Although it is still cool for our FAIRIES to join us, I assure you they will be around very soon... They always make an appearance once all the gardens are in bloom.
The past 3 weekends, we have been very busy with our crew, building pergola ( still have another to build next weekend) The gardening really took precedence as many of the seedlings that I planted in March in our kitchen were bursting out of their pots...
So join me on a tour, if you like...

Ahhh a little tidbit...my Beloved drinks a lot of gatorade when he is training. ( cancer ride in 3 more weeks) so I take his empty bottles, cut the ends off them and place them in my pots so I can easily water and feed them.. This way the food does not burn their leaves and the soil gets all the nutrients.... See it below on the left... This is a fairly large TEA CUP and saucer...the last photo will you a better idea of the scale of it..
well anyway, I planted one of my many BLACK PANSIES for our deck....

and I just happen to have a black and white giant TEA CUP to match yes, the black and white laminated GINGHAM from RBD... ( Thanks to RBD for keeping GINGHAM, remember our campaign last summer) It worked ..wink!

Now Garden # 1 is in our front yard. That wee tree is a service berry.. it had beautiful blooms last week....there are hostas there as well as all those low leafy greens, will be daisies... Our whole front garden will be bursting in WHITE DAISIES in a few more weeks...We have that huge cedar... it was less than 1 feet when we planted it 5 years ago.... now it is over 7 feet tall...the bushes on your far right... wraps around our whole front yard, they are fire bushes.. they turn bright red in the fall.... ( I could not find white fire bushes :) )
Now let's enter the gates to our backyard, where we have 5 gardens....all in different stages
This one GARDEN #2 was the first one we planted....all those Viburnums ( for those asking about pom-pom or snowball bushes, this is not them) Viburnums can grow as high as 8 feet, although ours are now over 9 feet tall and almost 8 feet wide....WE just got a couple more...so now we are up to 9. The one on the left is being shaped as a tree...although it is a bush and wants to be, but we keep her trimmed ...( she is very girly)

If I was standing beside this one...I would only reach it half way... our fence is over 7.5 feet...so it gives you an idea how big he is... They have been doubling in size since we planted them 5 years ago...

another view taken this morning....it is cloudy so it was perfect for photos showing how white they are...The blooms will last another week to 10 days... Once they regroup till next year...in between each of the bushes we have peonies all white that will fill those spaces with more WHITE.
close up of them...they resemble hydrangeas...
Now this is my pride and joy....COSMOS...a very special lady sent me a slew of seed packets...I started these all from seed...over the summer this will be a wall of cosmos.. They grow about 5-6 feet tall, and already have started blooming...they will bloom till fall...I will keep taking photos of their progress...I have to say they are my favourite...

My white lilac bush is planted at the base of our clothesline....it is still in full bloom and the light perfume they give out attracts many bees and butterflies...although this morning I think I was up before they were....this is at the end of garden #2

Garden #3 is at the back of our yard....we have 2 Viburnums here one at each end and all those white bushes are Bridals Wreath...they only bloom once....so soon we will have other annuals and perennials taking over..

Another close up of the Viburnums..
Garden #3 is actually 2 gardens...we have the other garden tucked behind this wall...( our yard slopes to the forest, so to keep the soil contained, we built a wall last summer. )

The photo above shows that...and this one has another Viburnum tree and I have planted snow covering and black pansies alternating all the way across....It will show up possibly in
June and July....when all of my Hydrangeas will be in full bloom too...( now these are called snowballs) I have 4 of those...they are on the other side of the viburnums)

Now Garden #4 does not look much just yet...but let me say within weeks, beets, carrots, cucumber for dills, tomatoes, 4 variety of lettuces will complete fill this raised garden.. This raised garden is 12 feet x 16 feet, and gives us enough greens for the whole summer... across from it is my herb garden #4 b ( as we are working on another pergola next weekend it has to be empty..I just have some of my herbs lying on the top...

I love this garden, it looks rather lonely at the moment but these lobelia plants really spread and continually flower all summer long...and the bushes on both sides will be flowering soon and all of them spring up with delicate white flowers... That is a pear tree in the centre...and I forget the green and white bush....but that one just keeps getting larger each year...All these bushes are low so they just add enough impact to be noticed..

Right by our deck I have this Clematis ( yes white flowers will soon be popping) It is over 4 feet already..

Now this is Garden #6 was just dug up last summer....on the left will be a wall of COSMOS....a new Viburnum TREE ( we call him Charlie Brown, he looks pretty pitiful, but we see potential( and we planted yet another at the end ....( bottom) You can see Garden #3 viburnum waving....
This garden has hostas, lobelias and black pansies, another pear tree on your far right) .. as they are all young plants I assure you there will be lot's of colour to view in a few weeks.. WE have learned from the past not to put too much in the garden so there is no competition ..... There have been some DEATHS and STRANGULATIONS.. we are trying to limit that this year ..wink...

These have a very large name...anyone know what these are called they are on both sides of the pear tree too. , planted...he is knew and he is fairly large....about 2 feet wide already..

Look at how proud my cosmo is...... I planted an even 12 of these here... OHHH it will be soo beautiful very soon...

And NOW we can rest ....OUR first pergola is completed....even has a curtain at the end....we were trying to keep the birds out.. they were coming in and sitting on the barn wall and making well let's just say, we knew who was messing up our deck with their droppings lol... and it was not our Cats...-
OHHH look GINGHAM...tablecloths, made from RBD laminates.. I sew them to the legs so they don't catch any wind.....
WE ordered special outdoor blinds, will show them next week when the whole deck will be completed...WE still have to wait a couple more weeks to re-stain the deck and pergolas....so we still have a bit more to do...but today, I am sitting outside awhile and do some stitching on my JUNE Paper Lady....I am in need of some rest...how about you? CARE to join me?
It is Victoria day in North America these past two weeks, let's say a prayer to keep those serving SAFE..!
