Kaleidoscope Quilt
I promised you all a post of my Kaleidoscope quilt, so here it is!
My sister-in-law asked me to make a quilt for my niece for her birthday, and I wasn't going to turn that opportunity down! She gave me a general color scheme that looked like fun, and then when I agreed, she basically told me I could do what I wanted.
Oh, boy. That's a lot of pressure!
I've had quilt envy over this fabulous kaleidoscope quilt that my friend Cindy made, and I really wanted to make one. (I confess, I want to make almost every quilt that she makes, but that would be weird and a bit stalker like. Quilt stalker... is that a thing?) I thought this could be a great little girl's quilt, so true to my love of solids and bright colors, this is what I came up with!
Some of you asked if there was a pattern for this quilt. I used the tutorial and template from this quilt along. The blocks finished at 12" square. I made 48 blocks for a twin sized quilt. I quilted it with horizontal lines 1 inch apart. I didn't want my quilting to compete with the design, so I chose to keep it simple.
I've finished a couple other quilts that I haven't shared with you yet... I'm working on those posts as well! Stay tuned...
Happy Wednesday!
