Shabby Chic Inspired Baby Nursery

Here's a peek into my baby's nursery. Overall, I was going for a vintage/shabby chic look with a hint of pink but not over the top baby or girly.
Her bedding was purchased from the Simply Shabby Chic line at Target. Unfortunately, it has since been discontinued.

The rag banner was created using strips of fabric, lace and burlap.
I wanted a creative way to store her diapers and wipes without having to open the dresser up. My cheap and handy solution was purchasing wood crates from the craft store and painting them in Duck Egg Blue, ASCP. The antique dresser was painted in Linen, Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint. I also painted a second dresser,
which is in her closet for extra storage.
I pulled the rocker out of a dumpster and gave it a good make over. The antique side table was a treasure in my parents attic. Both are painted in Duck Egg Blue, ASCP.

The chalkboard I made by painting a picture frame and spraying the glass with chalkboard paint. The little book shelf was a local find, which I painted with several colors to give it a chippy layered look. It has since been filled with more books, sweet baby shower gifts and more stuffed animal friends. The tea set I picked up at Ikea when I was pregnant.

This cross stitch prayer was made by my grandma when I was a baby. I've said this prayer for as long as I can remember. My dad created the beautiful frame out of old barn wood.

I snagged this toy box for $15 and gave it a coat of paint and also stenciled my baby's monogram.

I'm hoping several of these pieces will grow with her. Before you know it, I'll me looking for a headboard! We also plan to install hardwoods in her room sometime next year.
