Find your perfect swimsuit with Land’s End Swim Tool

This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend – the unofficial start to summer. That means vacation, plenty of backyard barbecues and something that many people dread – spending time at the beach or pool side. It’s not that we don’t enjoy those activities, it’s just that to fully enjoy them you need a bathing suit.

For years I have tried to avoid going to the pool in our condo complex. We only go to beach every other year, so that hasn’t been much of an issue. It’s not that I don’t like these activities its just that being an obese woman makes me VERY self conscious about being seen in a bathing suit. Whether you are extra skinny, overweight or even the perfect weight I think most people dread being in a bathing suit.

Shopping for a swimsuit is not as easy as it sounds. You either have to go from store to store to find one that suits your body, or you have to take a chance and order one online in hopes that it fits and that it looks good on you.

What if there was a way to help take the guesswork out of swimsuit shopping?

I gave the online app (there is nothing you need to download) to see what suits it came up with for me. I was actually impressed by the choices it came up with.

Land’s End was kind enough to send me a bathing suit to review. Using the app I was able to narrow down my choices to this suit.

I would love to show you a photo of me in the bathing suit, but I am very self conscious about how I look, most especially in a bathing suit. I also tend to wear a cover up over my suit. Not because I am self-conscious (in a way I am) but more so because I’m very fair and would get sunburned just THINKING about sunshine. Ha Ha.

I like suits that have skirts because they help to cover up the thighs a bit.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the suit fit me – sight unseen. I only used the Land’s End Swim Finder Tool to help me narrow down my choices based upon my answers to their questions.

If I went to the store this would be the type of suit I would go for.

Instead of going from store to store, trying on numerous swim suits and agonizing over which one to buy I was able to pick out a suit using the “app” in a matter of minutes.

I haven’t had a chance to wear the suit yet (I’ve only tried it on). Our pool doesn’t open until this weekend and it hasn’t been warm enough to head to the beach. However we are making plans to do both in the very near future.
