Show off your family (or company) pride with custom shirts from Custom Ink

Does your extended family regularly get together for family reunions?

I adore my family very, very, very much. I love them with all my heart. When I was younger all my aunts, uncles and cousins would try to get together on a regular basis. We spent nearly every summer together. Sadly, some of our relatives from out of state couldn’t always be there. There was one or two times to my recollection that we were able to get almost every one of our relatives together in the same place at the same time.

As the years went on and people moved away, passed away or just got too busy with their work and family commitments, getting together became next to impossible.

A few years ago we some how managed to get many of our relatives together at the same time. It started out as a meet up with just a few of us cousins, but it ended up becoming a family reunion. We loved it! We all had such a great time. It was amazing.

I fuzzed out everyone’s faces for their protection and to conceal their identity (not everyone wants to be seen on a blog or online).

There was a lake so the kids went swimming, we had a great game of baseball, a lot of food and so much more. It was a blast! It was a fantastic day and we are anxious to do it again in the very near future.

The next time we get together I would very much love to have matching tee shirts that read “X Family Reunion” (the “X” representing the family name), as well as the date. Not only would it identify us as a family, it would also make a great souvenir of that special day.

I have seen commercials on television for Custom Ink. Custom Ink allows you to create custom tee shirts (and more!). You have complete control over the design using the company’s images or your own images, you favorite text, colors and so much more. They also offer FREE two day shipping.

You can order one product or a 1,000 products – it’s totally up to you.

They also carry tote bags and can koozies which I think would also be fun to have at a family reunion.

Custom Ink gave me the opportunity to create a custom tee shirt for my immediate family. We didn’t plan a family reunion but instead we had a family dinner and a movie marathon night.

I thought creating a custom tee shirt would have been hard to do. That was not the case at all. Custom Ink makes is unbelievably easy to create your own designs. Not only that, the wonderful people at Custom Ink go over your creation to make sure everything is just perfect. They want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your design.

To be honest with you it took me forever to create something for my family. I kept changing my mind. Custom Ink has so many great options to choose from. I finally came up with a design. I used silhouette graphics for a family (two male, two female since my kids are teens), as well as silhouettes of five cats (all different), a dog and even a goldfish to represent all our pets. After all, they are part of our family too.

The graphics are on the front along with our family name and a heart (because I love them so much). On the back we have each of our names and a number. My husband is #1, I’m #2, our oldest is #3 and our youngest is #4.

For the sake of this post I had to cover up our family name as well as the name of my husband and kids for their protection. I wish I could show you the entire shirt, but I feel it necessary to cover up personal information. Sorry.

I wanted to do something fun and memorable with my family. I wanted to do something outdoors, but my teenagers felt a little funny wearing family tee shirts and NOT be at a family reunion. If it was a family reunion they would be honored to wear matching shirts, but with it being just the four of us they felt a little funny. That’s fine. I totally get it. So I came up with an indoor idea – a family dinner and marathon movie night.

We ordered dinner from our favorite pizzeria (dinners, not pizza). After we let it digest a bit we enjoyed chips, dips and popcorn.

We had a lot of laughs, with the exception of my daughter who was dealing with a sinus infection at that time and didn’t want to get photographed. In her defense she didn’t look well either.

We ended up watching both Despicable Me films because we were planning on seeing the new Minion movie that weekend (due to my daughter’s illness we had to put that off). I thought it would be fun to lead up to the new Minion movie with the Despicable Me films which helped make the Minions as popular as they are today.

I even found Minion Twinkies! They are regular Twinkies that came with edible sticker which allowed you to make the Twinkies look like your favorite characters from the new film. I thought that was a lot of fun and my kids enjoyed decorating them.

You may have noticed the huge container of popcorn kernels on the counter in the one photo. That is because we made our own microwave popcorn using brown paper bags. It’s actually a healthier option compared to pre-made microwave popcorn. Using the paper bag method cuts out the oil, salt and other ingredients found in pre-made microwave popcorn.

Making your own microwave popcorn is super easy to do. Simply pour 1/4th of a cup of corn kernels in a paper bag. Fold the end over (tightly if you can – you can even add a small piece of tape) then microwave it for a few minutes until you hear the popping slow down (you don’t want burnt popcorn).

You can add seasoning if you like. We enjoy our’s plain.

I looked for Minion stickers to put on the bags to tie everything in but I couldn’t find any.

We love the shirts from Custom Ink. My family still finds it funny that they had a fish silhouette so that we could include our goldfish Fishy. Custom Ink has hundreds of graphics to choose from to make up your own perfect design. You can also upload your own photo or logo to truly personalize it for you, your family and/or your business.

My extended family has been talking about getting together again for another reunion. Once we can finalize the date I plan on heading over to Custom Ink to make up special shirts for everyone to wear so that it shows the world that we are a family and proud of who we are.

I like that Custom Ink doesn’t require you to make dozens of shirts (or other products). You can make and purchase the amount you need. Ordering is super easy and they have customer service people available (including an online chat) to help you out if needed.

They also shipped pretty quickly which I was impressed with. You would think customization would take a while. Custom Ink gets your products out to you promptly.

Custom Ink shirts would be great for families, groups, clubs, organization, special events, birthdays, sports teams and so much more. You can have your design printed on tee shirts, hoodies, button down shirts, uniforms, polos, hats, bags, drink wear and even pens. Sizes include babies, kids, juniors and adults. I’m a plus size lady and I was able to get a shirt in my size too. They have plenty of color options too.

You can even create a design and have people order and pay for it on their own. This option is great for family reunions, sports teams and other organizations where everyone can purchase their own.

Don’t worry if you don’t think you can come up with the perfect design. Custom Ink has plenty of pre-made templates that you can “tweak” to suit your needs.
