HELICOPTER RIDE TO THE GRAND CANYON

Going on a helicopter ride to visit The Grand Canyon was always the top of my things to do list when planning our holiday to LV, so inevitably when the tickets were booked and we sat in the Maverick Helicopters waiting room I was very excited. I had never been in a helicopter before, and I was glad that my high expectations of the trip was certainly met by the beautiful birds eye views of LV, flying over the edge of The Grand Canyon and being able to look down on the river meandering through the red-tinged rocks.
When we landed we had time to take pictures, bear the intense heat of the morning sun and admire the serenity of it all. All I could hear was the distant hums of other helicopters, and at this moment it felt like I was a million miles away from the rings of casino games and the hustle and bustle back in the city.
