AFTERNOON TEA AT SKETCH LONDON

Over Christmas I decided to take my lovely mum to Sketch for Afternoon Tea, I’d previously seen Baitong mention her visit to Sketch, so figured that this must be a good choice. After doing some research I discovered the plush pink room was also filled with hilarious illustrations by David Shrigley, leading me to quickly book a slot for afternoon tea. Sketch is really easy to find on Conduit Street in the West End, just off Bond Street, the concierge and strange sculpture outside make it easy to spot. When we walked into Sketch it was like a pink marshmallow had exploded into 1920’s decor, actually quite breath taking and mother and I got very giggly and excited. Our waiter was uniformed in a grey, neat and clean trouser and shirt combo, as were the rest of the waiting staff, it was like being in a film. Copper and rose gold accents were sprinkled around the room in form of lighting, the bar area and finer details, it all felt as if Wes Andersen had been round just before we arrived, everything had a perfect place and wherever you looked people were enjoying themselves.
