Lovemade | DIY Gift Wrapping Event Pics!

Hi friends, I’m slowing down blog posts here as we’re getting close to Christmas and New Years, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been slowing down outside of the blog land. :)

As many of you know by now, I’ve launched Lovemade a few months back (along with my biz partner, Janette Crawford) to host a series of lifestyle events for modern families. We kicked it off with a very successful inaugural event hosting a lifestyle workshop for moms-to-be. This past weekend, we hosted our second event, DIY Gift Wrapping where we invited families to make hand-stamping gift wraps for the holidays ~ it was just the best!

We partnered with Christine Schmidt of Yellow Owl Workshop, who provided all of her one-of-a-kind rubber stamps and non-toxic ink-pads, and Giselle Gyalzen, owner of one of our favorite local gift shops, Rare Device, for this fun family event! We also had a great sponsor, Doughbies, a new service in SF that delivers freshly baked cookies in 20 minutes, who provided holiday cookies to all of our guests!

We had a full house that morning, and everyone, young and old, joined in to make their gift wraps. I was so impressed by some of the work that these parents and kids were making! You must scroll down to see!

All I can say is that every time I finish these events, my heart is so full and it makes me so happy that I was able to provide a space and time for families to bond, while learning and making beautiful things together. Honestly, this is exactly how I want to grow with Hayden and Hadley, and that’s what drove me to start Lovemade in the beginning.

I just finished event planning for Lovemade 2015, and I cannot wait to carry out some of these amazing event ideas! I really think it’s going to be a lot of fun and offering some unique experiences for families. Be sure to sign up for the Lovemade newsletter if you’re interested in learning our events first-hand (we offer early-bird rates to our subscribers!)

In the meantime, enjoy the pictures from this past Saturday!

Lovely samples by Janette Crawford and Christine Schmidt with Yellow Owl Workshop stamps.

Paper and fabric wraps ready to go for stamping! We also hosted a toy drive for the SF Firefigher Toy Program.

So messy, yet so fun! Christine, YOW, showing guests how to make the most of her stamps!

Even my littlest Hadley (top left) came to stamp and got her little hands dirty. Sadly, Hayden was not feeling well that day and had to rest at home.

Warms my heart to see families of all sizes came to make gift wraps!

Lisa Fontaine of Picnic and her daughter with Lisa Wong Jackson of Good On Paper and her son. Thanks so much for coming to support!

We even ran out of table space but so glad these kiddos and moms made it work on the floor! We even thought this turned out to be better than stamping on the table (making notes for next time!)

So many pretty prints and patterns! These may not be the most traditional Christmas gift tags and wraps, but really, who makes the rules anyway?

Mickey Mouse stamp personally carved by Christine of Yellow Owl Workshop. Not for sale but you can make your own with this Carve-A-Stamp Kit. If you’re in SF, you can pick one up at Rare Device at their Noe Valley or Divis location.

Love the oversized light bulbs, Jennine!

Many, many thanks again for those who came out to make holiday gift wraps with us! We honestly had so much fun and were so delighted to meet many of you in person. I’m very much looking forward to 2015 and spending more quality times with you and your family!
