Giant (Chalkboard Vinyl) Wall Calendar: Free Silhouette Studio Cut File (and Best Chalk Marker!)

It's (Freebie) Friday and that means it's time for another Free Silhouette Studio Cut file from Silhouette School! This week I'm sharing a file I created for a giant chalkboard wall calendar. I created my 24 x 36" wall calendar using chalkboard vinyl from Expressions Vinyl.

You can create yours any size you'd like - just adjust the size of the cut file and then determine how much chalkboard vinyl you'll need as described in this Silhouette School tutorial.
For this size, I had to cut the actual chalkboard vinyl in three sections. Due to the length I could not use a mat to cut the vinyl, but I had great success using my Silhouette roll feeder to ensure the vinyl did not slip out from under the rollers of my CAMEO while cutting.

Also, I should point out, I did not use layering registration marks for this project due to how much vinyl would have been wasted. Instead I used a good ol' fashion ruler to make sure the sections were evenly spaced and then used the wall hinge method to apply the chalkboard vinyl.

If you've ever worked with chalkboard vinyl before you know it can be a struggle to find chalkboard markers that actually erase. I searched high and low and finally resorted to using old school chalk sticks...until I finally found the Bistro Chalk Markers!
I love these chalk markers for so many reasons, but number 1 on my list is that they easily and completely erases with just a damp towel. It erases completely - no matter how long ago the marker was written on the chalkboard vinyl....watch!
Alright so here's the file for downloading...as always, it's for personal use only! Also, if you need help downloading the file and opening it in Silhouette Studio check out this step by step tutorial.
