Training Tuesday: NYCM {Week 13}

I ran. I almost cried. I conquered. When they say "running is 90 percent mental and the rest is physical", they mean it. It's another week where I'm doing my long run on a Tuesday. All I wanted to do after my run was curl up in a ball, cry then sleep. Even though my joints were aching and I felt super tired and discouraged, it was all mental. But as I type this, I'm starting to feel really proud that I did 15 miles today. But I'm finding that after these super long runs, I do not get the runner's high.

Tomorrow I've got a tempo run planned and Thursday will be my speed workout. I've realized that I am loving doing speed more and more, so I'm saving the best for last.

Does anyone else get to a point in running when they don't get the runner's high?
